A CLOSER LOOK
Find out whether the competition uses fixed prizes by position, disclosed pools, percentage bands, milestones, or a mixture. Note any maximum and the number of positions covered.
A headline value may describe the total competition pool instead of one profile's outcome. Work with the detailed table for a realistic expectation.
A qualifying position may still need an eligible profile, completed verification, and compliance with the competition guidelines. A later review can remove an ineligible outcome.
Keep the profile in good standing and respond to legitimate verification notices. Don't calculate a final prize from position alone.
The guideline page should explain how equal points totals are separated. Time, head-to-head outcome, secondary points total, earlier achievement, or another metric may decide the order.
